Dear All.

        I am building a project in Lightwave 3.5 on the Amiga and I am
adding objects to the scene in Layout. The objects have surfaces named,
although no textures have been applied - so they look like dull grey plastic
when rendered. The scene is intended to be lit by a single distant light.
However, when I try to render with the setting REALISTIC on the CAMERA menu
and raytraced shadows I find that the surfaces of the objects are covered in
black random pixels. These dots do not occur if I use the QUICKRENDER option
and also vanish if the light is set to spotlight and I use shadow mapping ...

        Is this a known problem ? Can I work around it at all ? I would
rather use raytraced shadows instead of shadow maps to save memory.
